NYC Marathon Pledge-a-thon with the NYC Celiac Meetup Group

Join the NYC Celiac Meetup Group as we support the Celiac Disease Foundation Team gluten-free™ at the 2014 TCS NYC Marathon!

On Sunday, November 2, six amazing athletes will be running for CDF Team gluten-free™ to help promote awareness for celiac disease and non-celiac disease gluten sensitivity. The NYC Celiac Meetup Group is hosting an online pledge-a-thon to help raise money for CDF Team gluten-free™. This is not an in-person event. Please support this year’s CDF Team gluten-free™ runners at the 2014 TCS NYC Marathon.

Hanging Out with Schar

Last Thursday, I had the pleasure of participating in the very first Schar Gluten-Free Google Hangout. Lead by Schar's expert dietitian, Dr. Anne Lee, I joined two other bloggers, Rozelyn De Sagun of The Frugalista Mom and Reesa Lewandowski of Momma Lew, to talk about all things gluten-free.

During this live video event our panel discussed the following topics:

- The benefits and pitfalls of the new gluten-free labeling law
- How to get good grains into your diet
- Preparing for the holidays, gluten-free style

I had a great time talking with these three women and hope to contribute to future Schar Gluten-Free Hangouts with Dr. Anne. You can watch our video below.
