I can't believe it is almost October and that I am heading back to Portland this weekend for the first time in more than 2 years. I used to go to Portland, Oregon regularly for work every four to six weeks from New York City for THREE YEARS. To say this burned me out would be an understatement! Now that my work Portland is in the past, fun Portland is only two days away. I can't wait to eat my way through one of my most favorite gluten-free friendly cities in the world.
I am speaking at the
Gluten-Free Food Allergy Fest both Saturday and Sunday.
Join me at 10:30am to hear all about my top gluten-free travel tips and how to navigate locally and beyond while maintaining a gluten-free diet. I will also be at
blogger booth #331 both days. Please stop by and say hello. I would love to meet you!
Want to win two tickets to this weekend's event? Enter below! Don't delay. The giveaway ends on Thursday at 6pm EST.

It has been two years since I quit my Portland-based job and started my own gluten-free consulting business,
GlutenFreelancer. After traveling back-and-forth to Portland from New York City more than 15 times in three years and basically living out of a suitcase, I had to put a pause on my Portland travels. Giving myself professional and mental distance from Portland made me realize how much I really enjoyed being in that city. Portland is by far one the most gluten-free friendly cities in the world. I have blogged about Portland often at
Gluten-Free Globetrotter and I try to keep track of the gluten-free openings across the city.
This October, I am excited to return to Portland as both a gluten-free tourist, eating my way through the city, and a presenter at the
2016 Gluten-Free Food Allergy Fest. Join me on October 1st and 2nd as I share my gluten-free travel knowledge, my personal experience of living with celiac disease for more than 30 years, and so much more. The final schedule for the GFFAFest has not yet been posted, but I know I will be on the speaker stage both days and will post my speaking times as soon as I can. I will also have a seat at the bloggers booth, so be sure to stop by.
Will I see you on October 1st and 2nd? I hope so!
