Suffolk County Celiacs Looking for Volunteers
As you faithful readers know, I am a huge fan of the Gluten-Free Vendor Fair put on by the Suffolk County Celiacs. This is their fourth vendor fair and I plan on being 4 for 4 in attending this fair. The thing that makes the vendor fair such a big success is their volunteer staff at the Vendor Fair. From helping vendors set up, to working the doors, to clean up each night, the fair could not go on without volunteers.

If you live in Suffolk County, New York or even nearby in Nassau or even the city, please consider volunteering at the fair. You will not be disappointed.

Date: August 28-29th, 2010, Saturday & Sunday
Time: 11:00 am – 3:00 pm
Location: International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 25
370 Vanderbilt Motor Parkway
Hauppauge, NY 11788

For more information or to volunteer, please email: SuffolkCountyCeliacs@ gmail.com

Suffolk County Celiacs Looking for Vendors!
The Suffolk County Celiacs are holding their 4th Gluten-Free Vendor Fair and Fundraiser. This is the biggest gluten-free fairs in the Northeast and I am excited to go for my fourth time. I always meet such great people and take home a ton of samples.

The Suffolk County Celiacs are looking for vendors. In the past, the Fair has grown in attendance from 700 attendees to over 1,600 attendees. This year because of the two day event and the room they have, they expect to have over 2,000 attendees, each with a keen interest in the gluten free diet and gluten free foods. Being present at the Fair gives your company exposure to celiacs and people suffering from gluten intolerance in a single location.

All activities of the Fair will be held at the IBEW Hall at 370 Vanderbilt Motor Parkway, Hauppauge NY 11788. The IBEW Hall has ample free parking available for the duration of the conference and is convenient to many modes of public transportation.

Saturday, August 28th through Sunday August 29th
Vendor setup will begin 9:00 am on August 28th.
Exhibit Teardown will begin at 3:00 pm on August 29th.
Exhibit hours: August 28th – from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm
August 29th – from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm

Are you an interested vendor? If so, please visit the Suffolk County Celiacs event page here: http://www.suffolkcountyceliacs.org/Events.html

The Suffolk County Gluten-Free Vendor Fair is only three days away. This is the gluten-free place to be on Sunday. With over 50 vendors and 2,000 customers expected to attend, it promises to be the biggest gluten-free vent on the East Coast.

$10 per person, $30 per family of 4

For more information and a complete listing of vendors, please click here.

IBEW Local 25
370 Motor Parkway
Hauppauge, New York

Here are some tips for the gluten-free vendor fair on Sunday, April 26, 2009.

  • Come early. The fair starts at 11am and most vendors will be set-up when the fair opens. With over 2,000 people expected, the early shoppers will get to sample and purchase the most goods.

  • Bring cash. Although some vendors will accept credit cards, most vendors will only accept cash. Also, do yourself and vendors a favor and bring small bills.

  • Bring reusable shopping bags. Good for the environment and helpful to those vendors who might not have bags for you.

  • Bring a cooler. The weather is supposed to be gorgeous this weekend, so bring a cooler to keep your frozen goods cold in your car.

  • Come hungry. There should be lots of gluten-free goodies for you to sample.

  • Be kind. There will be a huge crowd on Sunday and everyone is there for the same reason. Please be kind and patient to everyone at the fair. Don't push others out of the way to get your gluten-free products.

  • ENJOY!!!!
