Gluten-Free Nieces
I am now the proud aunt to beautiful twin nieces named Anna Deborah and Emma Jeannine. When my sister was pregnant, she asked "What happens if the babies need to be on a gluten-free diet?" I said "Let their aunt Erin spoil them with a ton of gluten-free kisses, hugs, and cookies." I am thrilled that my sister, brother-in-law, and my darling nieces are all doing well. I will be up visiting them for 4th of July week and will be sharing my gluten-free love. I am also hoping to make it to Elizabeth's, part of the Gluten Free Restaurant Awareness Program (GFRAP).

Connecticut Celiac Walkathon

Saturday, May 5, 2007
Wharton Brook State Park
North Haven CT

The Walk
The trail loops through scenic Wharton Brook State Park; this path is flat and wide. Jogging strollers can easily manage the trail. Travel the path once for a shorter walk, or do the loop two or three times to reach three miles total.

The Picnic
Catered by B & B Catering and Health in a Hurry, both of Fairfield. We'll have delicious food for all, and its all gluten-free! Get to know one-another, chit-chat, make new friends. Gather 'round and have fun!

The Auction
After the walk, join us for a Basket
Auction. Tickets may be purchased for $1.00 each, or 22 tickets for $20.00. Each prize will have its own basket. One may put however many tickets desired into a prize's basket. For instance, a person can put all the tickets into a basket for one prize, or distribute them amongst some or all of the prizes. Prizes are abundant and from many sponsors. They include gift certificates, theater tickets, gluten-free food baskets and more!

The Activities
Fun for kids and adults! An antique fire engine for exploration and Canine Fence's “Dog” will distribute balloons - what more could the kids ask for? Organized activities and informal games, of course. Bring the whole family. Make a day of it!
