31st Annual Celiac Sprue Association Conference
Can you believe there is a Celiac organization older than me? :-P
The CSA was one of the first organizations in the early 1980s that helped my parents understand what Celiac Disease is and how they could teach a toddler about Celiac while growing up in a gluten-filled world. It was a great resource then and continues to be so today.

"The Annual CSA Conference is a major event in CSA's yearly calendar. In recognition of October as Celiac Disease Awareness Month, CSA invites experts from a broad spectrum of disciplines relating to celiac disease and the required gluten-free diet to share current information. Researchers, healthcare professionals, dietitians, authors, chefs, restaurant owners, and gluten-free food vendors from across the United States participate in this annual educational event."

Please save the date for their 31st Annual CSA Conference

The Colin Leslie Walk for Celiac Disease: Sept. 14, 2008
Colin Leslie is an amazing 16-year-old that was diagnosed with Celiac Disease in 2005. After being diagnosed, Colin decided he would rather make a difference in the Celiac Community by educating and raising awareness than sit around keeping quiet about Celiac Disease. Colin and his walkers have raised over $113,000.

With support from both the Celiac Disease Center at Columbia University and The Westchester Celiac Sprue Support Group, Colin is planning this year's annual Colin Leslie Walk for Celiac Disease on September 14, 2008. This year's sponsors include:

Joan's GF Great Bakes
Prometheus Therapeutics and Diagnostics
Against the Grain
Blue Diamond Almonds
Sherry Lynn's Gluten Free
Pamela's Products

The 2008 Colin Leslie Walk for Celiac Disease is being once again held at Rye High School in Rye, New York. This year's vendor fair will be held in the Gymnasium, which will boast one stop shopping and gluten free samples. A gluten free lunch, provided by Soul Dog, will also be available for purchase that day. Parking this year will be behind 411 Theodore Fremd Ave. in Rye.

For all of the walk's sign-up details including location and times, please visit: http://www.colinlesliewalkforceliacdisease.org/

Please join Colin and the rest of the Celiac Walkers on Sunday, September 14, 2008 for the Colin Leslie Walk for Celiac Disease starting at 9am.
